The AKS Hotels vision is to offer exceptional facilities and services in hotels that complement the the Greek Philoxenia, the landscape and local culture. The company’s dynamic presence in Greek hospitality began in 1998 with the purchase of the Porto Heli Hotel, Class A, with 204 rooms, at Porto Heli, Eastern Peloponnese. The area is steeped in history and noted for its magnificent natural beauty.
In 1999, AKS Hotels acquired the distinguished Minoa Palace Hotel, Class A, with 120 rooms, in Amnissos, near Heraklion, Crete. Recognizing the spiraling growth of up market tourism along the Porto Heli coast, AKS Hotels, in 2000, bought the Hinitsa Bay Hotel, Class A, with 216 rooms.
The success of the company’s three hotels is the result of in depth knowledge of the Greek tourism sector, as well as its commitment to a set of corporate values, which, for years, has shaped the distinct character of AKS Hotels.
In 2005, AKS Hotels also completed its new Conference Centre in Porto Heli. The ultra- modern conference centre is especially designed to meet the organizer’s needs, with two main conference halls and break-out rooms totaling 1400 sq.m. , exhibition space and cutting edge technologies and equipment to accommodate any event. The Conference Centre is supported by the AKS Porto Heli and AKS Hinitsa Bay hotels (420 rooms in total).
A significant investment was made in 2016 with the renovation of AKS Hinitsa Bay, thus, repositioning the product in the Greek and international markets with excellent reviews.
Following the latest trends of the hospitality industry, the development of the company continues with the full renovation/reconstruction of AKS Minoa Palace. A brand new “adults only” hotel opens its doors in April 2018.
